The director of the Signos Center has established himself as a key figure in the reflection on contemporary politics and the ethical challenges of political thought.

The academic vice-dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences of our university was recognized for his career and his contribution to the development of structural engineering in Chile.

Rodrigo Astroza was recognized with the first Award for Excellence in Research given at our university.

The Latin American Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology Societies (FLASOG) considers it a duty to honor the merits achieved by its members in medical practice, research and teaching, for the benefit of the development of Gynecology and Obstetrics in Latin America.

Dr. Figueroa is one of the founders of the UANDES School of Medicine, where since its inception he has developed an intense teaching activity, participating in the training of numerous generations of Chilean physicians, rheumatologists and researchers.

Dr. Figueroa's incorporation to the corporation is due to his solid training and development of a long and fruitful career in academic medicine, mainly in the areas of immunology and experimental rheumatology, adding in recent years his interest in translational medicine.

The academic vice dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences is working on the behavior of bridges and wind turbines under different seismic scenarios.
