Dr. Jorge Gaete<\/a><\/strong>, an academic from the School of Education, is this week at the\u00a0Center for Schools and Communities<\/em>, located in Pennsylvania, United States, to advance the translation and adaptation of the manuals for the\u00a0ICPS (I Can Problem Solve)<\/strong>program. The program is designed to strengthen executive functions and social problem-solving skills in children between the ages of 4 and 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"We have already worked on the adaptation of the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten manuals, and now we are starting with the 1st and 2nd Grade manuals. We will also develop the manuals for 3rd to 6th grade. It is a great challenge and an honor to have been selected for this,<\/strong>\" said Dr. Gaete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his stay, the academic has participated in meetings with the team of the Center for Schools and Communities<\/em> to fine-tune the details of the collaboration agreement with Universidad de los Andes. This agreement seeks to establish a permanent relationship to investigate the impact of the ICPS program at different school levels and, eventually, to train trainers and distribute the program in Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
