The academics of the School of Occupational Therapy<\/a>, Natalia N\u00fa\u00f1ez<\/a><\/strong> and Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Acevedo<\/a><\/strong>were awarded the CIIMTA Fund <\/strong>(Incentive Contest for the Methodological-Technological Innovation of Subjects). The awarding of this fund will allow the start of implementing different innovations within the teaching process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their tele-stimulation project is aimed at students at the initial levels of the career and seeks to enhance the learning of communication skills through the use of technology and simulation methodologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"This project is part of two subjects of our professional training line: Human Occupation II, corresponding to the second year of the career, and Human Occupation IV, corresponding to the third year. Our proposal aims, through tele-stimulation, to create an audiovisual material focused on the learning of communication skills,<\/strong>\" explains Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Acevedo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project includes the production of four videos recorded with professional actors and occupational therapists, who will represent realistic cases. These scenes will not only show correct actions in the evaluation and intervention processes, but also common mistakes that may occur in practice, always from a formative perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Watching these videos will allow students to reflect and understand, in a practical way, the role of the occupational therapist and, especially, the importance of communication skills,<\/strong>\" adds the academic from the School of Occupational Therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to benefiting students, the project includes training for professional teachers in the use and implementation of these videos as a pedagogical tool.<\/sub><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
