{"id":4353,"date":"2025-02-26T10:58:49","date_gmt":"2025-02-26T13:58:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.uandes.cl\/?p=4353"},"modified":"2025-05-09T16:05:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T19:05:09","slug":"device-to-improve-the-accuracy-and-efficiency-of-blood-identification-at-crime-scenes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/investiga.uandes.cl\/en\/device-to-improve-the-accuracy-and-efficiency-of-blood-identification-at-crime-scenes\/","title":{"rendered":"Device to improve accuracy and efficiency of blood identification at crime scenes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Carolina Inostroza, an academic at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uandes.cl\/facultad-odontologia\/\">School of Dentistry<\/a> and researcher at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uandes.cl\/ciib\/\">Center for Biomedical Research and Innovation (CiiB)<\/a>, is developing \"<strong>InstaXYBloodT<\/strong>.\" The device will allow rapid detection of male or female hormones in human blood to improve the identification of people at gun crime scenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The development of this device will be made possible thanks to the award of funds from the <a href=\"https:\/\/anid.cl\/\">National Research and Development Agency<\/a> (ANID) of the Public Challenges Competition, call 2024, whose principal is the Investigative Police of Chile (PDI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\"<strong>This project will contribute to society by improving the quality of forensic investigation and increasing efficiency in solving crimes, which reduces investigation times and allows for faster administration of justice.
