The team formed by Marianela Navarro (leader), Annjeanette Martin and Alessandra Díaz, from the School of Education, together with Fabián Barrera, from the School of Psychology, was awarded a fund that aims to promote research in key areas of the institutional ideology.

The project "Late vocations: challenges and teacher profiles in secondary education in the face of teacher shortages." recently won the IAF Priority Thematic Areas Project (PTA) in its 2024 call for proposals.

The research seeks to provide scientific and updated evidence on the deficit of teachers in secondary education, with a special focus on those who decide to enter the profession late. The study will also explore the factors that influence this decision and analyze their intention to remain, rotate or leave the teaching career.
