This appointment contributes to the institutional alliance that since 2017 has connected Universidad de los Andes Clinic with Mass General Brigham, a network of health institutions affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
Fernando Coz, a professor at the School of Medicine and urologist at Universidad de los Andes Clinic, was recently appointed a member of the President’s Board of Advisors at Mass General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, United States. This board directly advises the hospital's president, Dr. Marcela del Carmen, on the definition of future projects and strategies.
"Being part of the President's Board of Advisors means having a seat at the table where the hospital's major challenges are discussed, including its future direction and in which areas to focus its efforts. It is a great responsibility and, at the same time, a unique opportunity to continue connecting our Clinic with international standards of excellence," explains Dr. Coz.
This appointment—unique for a Latin American—contributes to the institutional alliance that since 2017 has linked Universidad de los Andes Clinic with Mass General Brigham, a network of health institutions affiliated with Harvard Medical School that includes MGH—the third oldest hospital in the U.S.—and Brigham and Women's Hospital, among other outstanding health centers worldwide. This alliance has strengthened clinical excellence and medical training.
